James Carpio
James (AKA "Dregg") is a avid old school gamer who has found his way into
the world of freelance writing and small press publishing. James is a
co-founder of Chapter 13 Press, and has collaborated on projects and books with

Game Studio, and R. Talsorian Games. On
the convention side, James has held the title of Director of Gaming for I-CON
Science Fiction, and is the current Director of gaming for Connecticon
in Hartford, CT. James had also written the "Lights, Camera, Action" column for the now defunct
Silven Trumpeter. James is currently developing Spookybeans with Ben and Bad Muthas: Tales from the
Funk!, and plans on releasing a new edition of Pulp Era once he catches up with it.

Ben has been drawing since he was three, and has been gaming since he was fourteen,
but it's only been in the last nine years or so that he's put the two together in any
meaningful way. He's done freelance artwork and custom character sheets for many prominent
independently published RPGs, including Inspectres,
octaNe,
Elfs,
Trollbabe,
Donjon,
Paladin,
Bulldogs,
Mouse Guard, and
My Life With Master.
He is currently hard at work developing Spookybeans with James, and will also be starting up a
webcomic and a line of fairly macabre greeting cards, both to be housed at
Burn After Reading Press.
