We’re back in Hartford for ConnectiCon again this year. Ben is running a game set in the world of Borderlands/Borderlands 2, as well as The Family: A Story Game About Traditional Values.
Spookybeans Video Review
Done and DONE
Layout for Tales From the Fallen Empire is done. The PDF has been sent off to Goodman Games for final approval, and then it’s out to all the KS backers. Next I will be exporting the PDF/X version to submit for POD, and now that I have a page count (214), I can build a proper cover. Huzzah!
LI Who was an absolute blast, and I’m definitely going back next year. Lots of panels, great guests (Sylvester McCoy was amazing), and lots of collectible stuff at the dealers’ room (none of which i bought, because I had no money).
Both my games went off without any major hitches (the second one had some rotating players, but after about 1/2 an hour we’d settled down), and went well enough that:
- I’m thinking of working on a completely unofficial Doctor Who system based on Spookybeans that will ideally support more than just playing various incarnations of the Doctor, and
- Some of the mechanics changes I implemented will make their way back into Spookybeans itself, at the very least as a PDF patch, and if there’s ever a new edition of the book, it will show up there as well.
Ben will be heading out to Ronkonkoma for Long Island Doctor Who 2013, where he’ll be running a Doctor Who game using modified Spookybeans rules. Geronimo!
